I started making jewelry as an emotional and creative outlet during the years I had to juggle the demands of a corporate career and raising a family. It was fun; it was a great hobby. But eventually, it became more than that. It developed a hold on me that I realized was feeding my soul. Today, designing jewelry—wearable art!—fills me with energy and pride. It completes me. It’s empowering to see something tangible emerge from my design visions and feel the power and beauty of my creativity.  And it is rewarding beyond measure to know my designs enliven and beautify the women who wear them.

My designs vibrate with the strength, energy and spiritual qualities of the semi-precious stones I use, and are enhanced by other distinctive materials, such as Swarovski crystals, Murano Glass, Cloisonné, and freshwater pearls. I certainly love diamonds and other precious stones, but they don’t give me, as a designer, the creative flexibility of gemstones like amethyst, quartz, fluorite, or coral. In contrast to the cold brilliance of emeralds and rubies, semi-precious gems offer warmth and a myriad of shapes, textures, and hues of color. And there’s the incomparable sparkle and shine of Swarovski—the finest crystal in the world. I seek out rare and unusual cuts of stones and components because my creations are uncommon. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. So each client wears singularly exclusive jewelry, that when combined with her personal aura, is an explosion of color, hue, shape, and texture that radiates her personal style.

I don’t design to trends; I create from my own inspiration. I design in two ways: one way is from my inner vision. I picture each woman with an internal vibration and work with my intuition to find a match to the vibrations of certain semi-precious stones and crystals. I often envision physical expressions of women’s inner beauty and then bring them to life in my designs. The second way is to let the stones and materials speak to me. As the shapes and colors and textures come together, I mix and match, watching the materials come to life to form my designs. I feel the energy of being both designer and inventor, because I try to be practical in my designs, incorporating elements I wish other jewelry had. I created a feature that allows the wearer to adjust the necklace length to various necklines. I designed an extender chain for when the adjustable length isn’t long enough. I use extra-large lobster claw clasps to make them easy to open and close.

I know that a woman’s personal power, which comes from her mental and spiritual strength deep inside, can be expressed and strengthened by what she exhibits on the outside. This is what I strive to capture in my jewelry: the physical expression of a woman’s inner beauty, individuality, and personal power. The result is stunning, one-of-a-kind, jewelry that accentuates a woman’s style.
